Today’s Illegal Alien, Jose Vasquez, has been robbed. Robbed of the recognition he fully deserves for killing a motorcyclist and his injuring his (the cyclist’s) daughter. Since Jose was not drunk, the incident is being classified as an accident. Since accidents are misdemeanors, police can’t investigate the immigration status of the (known) Illegal, Señor Vasquez.
So, instead racking up points for vehicular homicide and attempted vehicular homicide and topping that off with a nice deportation, the Nashville PD is, well, pretty much just letting him go…
“In Nashville, our agreement with the federal government has always said (that) upon being physically arrested, brought to the jail, then your status is checked,” said Davidson County Sheriff Daron Hall. “At no other point can that occur.”
While Nashville won’t give you the kudos you deserve, we sure will! Congratulations, Jose Vasquez! You’re our Illegal Immigrant of the Day! And a shout-out to the Helpful Nashville Officials who — though denying him credit in this case — are nonetheless giving him that vital second chance to rape a child or father dozens of Anchor Babies in their fair city! ¡Arriba!
